Customer Service and Account Manager

Oliver Inc. is looking for a customer-oriented and motivated Customer Service & Account Manager who will support the Sales department, and retain and service Oliver accounts. The ideal candidate will offer support to customers with questions or requests around new or previous orders. The person will manage and build long-term business relationships with our customers independently on projects and extended programs. The Customer Service & Account Manager will support and collaborate with internal departments to drive the process, secure information needed, coordinate order information, and handle all customer requirements for a project or job.

Responsibilities

  • Respond/follow up on all customer inquiries, questions, and problems.
  • Provide existing and potential customers with plant tours. 
  • Request and obtain customer approvals on manufacturing and/or color samples. 
  • Monitor approvals via purchase order (PO), purchase order confirmation (POC), and/or e-mail confirmation.
  • Receive and process orders in ERP system; provide information concerning pricings, samples, changes, shipping, etc., and perform contract review.
  • Monitor and update open sales order, finished goods inventory, and open orders for billing reports.
  • Refer complaints of product or service failure to appropriate departments (QA/Sales) after initial investigation; obtain relevant information, disposition, and samples; enter complaints in ERP.
  • Audit the customer experience via surveys and/or follow-up phone calls and put forth every effort to keep customers happy and satisfied.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 5 years of experience in a customer service/sales/ manufacturing environment
  • Advanced use of MS Word, Excel, and various reporting software
  • Ability to multi-task while exercising judgment in a high-volume and fast-paced environment

Die Cutting Operator 

Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced, committed and passionate Die Cutting Operator to join our great team. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of printing and operated as a die cutting pressman. The person will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, monitoring, and operating a die cutting machine: dismantle previous job, log impressions on saved jobs with date, press and chase number, or dispose of dies as marked, pull samples and glue set to check for accuracy, according to the specifications. The Die Cutting Operator will focus on continuously checking for accuracy and quality, monitor the machine, and correct problems. The person will be responsible for the quality of the die cutting of finished products.

Feeder/Catcher/Packer 

Oliver Inc. is seeking Feeder/Catcher/Packer applicants for all of its locations: Ohio, Massachusetts, New York, and Virginia. The Feeder/Catcher/Packer is responsible for feeding stacks of flat cartons in the proper position into gluer machinery, and inspecting, catching, and packing the finished product into cartons.

Responsibilities

  • Make up corrugated cartons.
  • Apply shipping labels and tags to corrugated cartons.
  • Feed product into gluing machinery.
  • Inspect product for damage, blemishes, and off-color as the product is fed into the machine.
  • Move product into position at feeder station.
  • Catch and remove streams of glued product from gluing machinery.
  • Inspect streams and individual pieces of glued product for damage, blemishes, off-color, and adequate glue seal.
  • Segregate suspected glued product and communicate status of that product.
  • Pack glued product in corrugated cartons.
  • Pass fully packed corrugated cartons through automatic tape dispensers to seal corrugated cartons.
  • Perform line clearance actions.
  • Prevents product mixes and detect glue deficiencies and damage.
  • Perform housekeeping actions on and around assigned machinery and in the department.
  • Repair/rework non-conforming or marginal product.
  • All other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Accurate visual effort and physical activity with frequent monitoring of equipment
  • Standing, walking, and lifting required for a full shift
  • Identify and distinguish color and detail with the ability to adjust focus.

Gluing Operator/Adjuster

Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced and passionate Gluing Operator/Adjuster in the Folding/Gluing Department. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of glue-line assembly. The person will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, monitoring, and operating a folding machine to fold and glue printed materials, according to the specifications. The Adjuster will focus on continuously checking for accuracy and quality, monitor the machine, and correct problems. The person will control the inventory, verify the schedule. and guarantee post-production equipment cleaning.

Label Pressman

Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced and committed Label Pressman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of printing and the flexographic printing process. The person will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, monitoring, and operating our flexo label presses, according to the specifications. The Label Pressman will focus on continuously checking for accuracy and quality, monitoring the machine, and correcting problems. The person will control the inventory, ensure that presses are supplied properly, verify the schedule, and guarantee post-production equipment cleaning.

Maintenance Plant Technician

Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced, committed, and passionate Maintenance Technician to join our great team. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical and electrical background, with general understanding of plumbing and HVAC, to oversee the maintenance and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment and plant infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a preventative maintenance program for all presses and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Repairs and tests machines and/or machines assemblies.
  • Determines whether repairs should be made in-house or by an outside source.
  • Monitors quality of repairs by third-party contractors.
  • Maintains and improves building infrastructure.
  • Performs electronical/mechanical diagnostic troubleshooting on all plant equipment.
  • Interfaces with production management and line personnel to ensure that equipment is being utilized properly and efficiently.
  • Assists in facilities as needed, including but not limited to, carpentry and general maintenance related items.
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 4 years similar experience.
  • Ability to read and analyze mechanical drawing, blueprint, electrical schematic would be highly evaluated. Machine shop experience is a plus.
  • Ability to use common hand tools, knowledge of measuring instruments such as micrometer, caliper, etc.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment including electrical wiring, electrical components, pneumatic systems, water/cooling systems, HVAC system, hydraulics, and building maintenance.
  • Understanding of basic electrical/mechanics, plumbing, metal fabrication, carpentry, and application of various materials
  • Standing and walking required for 75% of day, some lifting and pulling required.

Payroll Administrator 

Oliver Inc. is looking for a motivated, experienced Payroll Administrator, responsible for processing weekly and biweekly payrolls for all exempt and non-exempt employees. The Payroll Admin. must have the ability to work independently and communicate with all levels of staff, specifically with Supervisors/Managers and Accounting Dept., providing support in each area and maintaining confidential employee data. The ideal candidate uses and understands the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system, leading the company to full paperless, electronic payroll management. This role has individual accountability and ownership of Payroll and is point of contact for employees for all Human Resources inquiries. Previous experience using the PAYPRO payroll system (Work Force One) will be highly considered. The Payroll Admin. must understand and follow payroll procedures, filing required monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax payments (within state online portals) of withholding and unemployment taxes. The candidate will be proactive in researching all payroll-related trends, specifically with changes in federal, state, and local payroll taxes.

  • Reviews for accuracy time-worked information for all hourly and salaried employees.
  • Updates employee information relative to payroll.
  • Maintains and verifies worked hours and benefit time usage activity.
  • Processes PTO (paid time off) and time-card adjustments as necessary
  • Prepares various reports and matches to month-end payroll summary.
  • Performs calculations and tasks relating to setting up new hires, processing severance and termination payouts along with any miscellaneous payroll and benefits deductions, working closely with Human Resources on benefit-related information and deductions.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years related experience.
  • Broad knowledge of payroll, payroll taxes, and the technical/administrative skill associated with AR, and/or AP processes.
  • Payroll management:  at least 2 years of using PAYPRO payroll software 
  • Advanced use of MS Word, Excel, and various reporting software – Work Force One is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll (such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act or FLSA)
  • Proficient data entry
  • Good mathematical background
  • Willingness to take on new responsibilities as needed
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of staff
  • Associates degree a must, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Sales Representative 

Oliver Inc. is seeking a Sales Representative to inform existing and prospective customers about the company’s products and services. The Sales Representative reports to the VP of Sales and is responsible for developing and documenting customer profiles, coordinating order information with customer service representatives, providing customer samples and obtaining approvals, and developing sales projections and sales goals for the annual sales budget, among other tasks.

  • Comply with all company policies and practices and perform job functions in a professional, honest, and ethical manner.
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of the company’s current products and services and new product lines and services as they are introduced.
  • Develop and document customer profiles including product type, usage, and opportunities for product substitution. Establish, maintain, manage, and update prospect and customer databases.
  • Collect and report all pertinent market activity/prospect information in developing sales.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely proposals and quotations to customers as required. Submit all special quotations to management for approval. 
  • Forward customer requests for quotes to estimating, and submit customer requests to design. Interface with estimating and design departments to obtain price quotations, updates, and availability as required.
  • Provide existing and potential customers with plant tours and be available for press okays and offsite customer visits.
  • Coordinate order information with customer service representatives and assist with contract review.
  • Provide customer samples and obtain approvals.
  • Provide delivery date confirmation to customers.
  • Resolve credit issues and verify billing accuracy.
  • Obtain purchase order confirmations.
  • Develop sales projections and sales goals for the annual sales budget.
  • Meet or exceed annual sales goals.
  • Develop and participate in relevant customer/vendor trade shows.
  • Provide customer service support and respond/follow-up on all customer inquires, questions, and problems.
  • Obtain all relevant information needed to sell products and follow-up on any issues related to an account.
  • Participate in training and development programs to become knowledgeable in the latest printing and packaging technology.

Qualifications

  • Proven record of successfully developing and executing sales and margin growth strategies within the printing and/or packaging markets
  • History of establishing and maintaining relationships with customers that translated into improved financial success and market share growth
  • Minimum of five (5) years of sales experience (printing/packaging experience preferred) 
  • Proven ability to develop and implement a sales strategy that will deliver sales revenue
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Excel; ability to learn Solar Soft and ACT.
  • High school diploma required.  College degree a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as business correspondence, instructions with some degree of difficulty, correspondence, and memos. 
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from customers and to speak to customers and/or Oliver employees in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
